The sun is shining and the icicles are melting. Yes, you can feel it. Under all that snow the springs is making its way.

I am from Estonia. He was from somewhere warm – I am guessing Philippines or Indonesia or around that area. Our common language – Finnish! Some really hard-to-learn language at some distant northern country. The surrealism of the moment hit me right there.

Ou, and we were both fluent :)

another morning

label: haven — CV @ 1:46 PM

Another morning, another neighbour, totally different conversation.

After some chit-chat while cleaning our cars from snow:
She:”So you have to take her with you every time you need to go somewhere?”
Me:”Yes, pretty much so.”
She:”You know, if you have to just step out for a moment and I am at home, you can always leave her with me and I am almost always at home, because I am retired.”
Me:”Thank you so much for your offer! That is really kind of you.”

another morning

I had a rough night. Ayra was screaming 4 hours straight until 1 AM. Babies sometimes cry for no real reason (or at least without one what could be discovered like hunger or wet diaper). It happens.

I have an “ill” neighbour. I think there is something seriously wrong with his/her (I have a suspicion that the wife is the ill one) mental health. This is a long story in itself. Anyway, this morning he (the man always does the complaining) was behind my door again and the dialog was going like this:

He:”Why does your baby cry?”
I was baffled. Is that even a real question?
Me:”I would give a lot to know why. She doesn’t tell.”
He:”Have you been to a doctor.”
Me (thinking – is this man for real?):”Of course!” (thinking – monthly check ups are mandatory around here)
He:”What did he say?”
Me (thinking – not that it is any of your business):”Nothing. My girl is totally fine. You know babies cry sometimes.”
He:”She is crying every night. She was crying for 3 hours last night. It was getting on my nerves.”
Me:”Yes, it was getting on my nerves too. So?”
He:”Keep her up during the day, so she would sleep at night!”

I wished him a good day and closed the door. There is no point of explaining anything to an idiot. Like complaining about crying baby would ever mean that the baby would stop crying. How stupid is that?

new dayjob

This is how one part of my new dayjob looks, when done (1/2 of it washed, stuffed and ready to use).

And this another part of my dayjob, that is never done.

She sleeps so trustingly on my chest. Like nothing in this world could touch her.

anorher morning

-27ºC. Should I say anything more?

I set the margin at -15º Celsius. I thought that it will be the lowest when I still go out for a walk with Ayra (because she is so little still – only 43 days). Wroooong! After trying to get her to sleep for 30 minutes without success I headed out – cold or not, she needs to sleep! So, -16ºC is totally OK for sleeping outside for 1 month old. Check!
